Intuitive Surgical - Anyone else feel the pressure?

Been at ISG for a few years now, and things have felt... different lately. It's hard to put a finger on it, but there's definitely a vibe shift. My team's workload hasn't decreased, but there's more scrutiny on every project and a lot of 'efficiency' discussions. It feels like management is trying to squeeze more out of us without adding resources, which is obviously a recipe for burnout. I haven't heard any concrete layoff talk, no all-hands announcements about restructuring, but the constant pressure to perform and the whispers about 'optimizing resources' are definitely unnerving. I've seen a few people quietly exit in the last couple of months, not in a big wave, but enough to notice. It makes you wonder if the company is preparing for something, or if this is just the new normal in medtech. Is anyone else feeling this intensified focus on output and cost savings? Or am I just being paranoid? Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar pressures.

Yeah, I've picked up on that too. It's like the 'startup vibe' is fading and the corporate pressure is ramping up. Lots of talk about optimizing processes and hitting aggressive targets. I'm wondering if it's a response to market shifts or just a change in leadership priorities. Trying to stay positive but it's definitely noticeable.

Completely relate. The 'efficiency' drive feels like a thinly veiled way to demand more output with the same headcount. It's exhausting constantly proving your value and justifying every minute. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is if they're prioritizing short-term gains over employee well-being. Hope things improve.
