Intuitive Surgical - Morale dip or something more?

Has anyone else experienced a significant drop in morale at ISG recently? It feels like there's a general sense of unease, and people are starting to look over their shoulders. My team's project scope was drastically reduced last quarter, and we've seen key people leave seemingly without replacements being backfilled. It's creating extra pressure on those of us who remain. Performance reviews were… interesting this year, definitely felt more critical than usual. Wondering if this is just a cyclical thing or if leadership is preparing for harder times. Curious to hear from others, especially in different divisions, if they're feeling this too or if it's just my bubble.

I've noticed the shift too. It's not just your team; several departments seem to be grappling with similar issues. The reduced project scopes and departures are definitely creating a ripple effect, leaving remaining staff stretched thin. Performance reviews did feel unusually tough, and there's a palpable sense of uncertainty about what's next. It's a difficult environment when you're trying to stay focused and motivated, but the underlying anxiety is hard to ignore. Hoping for some clarity soon.

The unease is definitely widespread. We're seeing similar patterns – project scaling back, experienced colleagues moving on, and that feeling of pressure increasing. It's tough when you're trying to deliver your best work and the landscape feels so unstable. The recent performance feedback also added to the general atmosphere of concern. It's more than just a 'blip' for many of us; it feels like a significant change in the company's trajectory and how we're expected to operate within it.
