Is the Sunnyvale office empty yet?

I’ve been hearing whispers about how much space is actually being vacated after the Dec 11th cuts. It feels like the office footprint is shrinking just as fast as the headcount. For those still coming in, what’s the vibe like on the floor? I haven't been back in since the announcement and honestly, I’m nervous about what the remaining teams are going to look like come January. Are we seeing more desks sitting empty, or is the work just being consolidated into a few clusters? It feels like the 'Innovation' branding is starting to take a back seat to sheer cost-cutting. I’m just trying to gauge if I should be polishing the resume even harder before the next potential wave in Q1.

The office is definitely feeling sparse lately. Walking through the halls after the December cuts is pretty jarring; there are entire rows of workstations that are completely dark now. Management seems to be moving the remaining teams into tighter clusters to make the space look less abandoned, but you can’t hide the empty chairs. It’s quiet, bordering on awkward, and honestly, the morale is pretty low. Most people are just keeping their heads down and sticking to their calendars until January settles in.

Honestly, the vibe is just heavy. I went in yesterday and it felt like a ghost town compared to a few months ago. They’ve started consolidating desks, so it doesn't look as hollow as it could, but everyone knows what’s missing. You look at those empty spots and you know exactly who used to sit there. It’s not just about the space shrinking; it’s about the fact that the culture feels totally different now. It’s hard to focus when you’re constantly looking around at all the vacant seats.
