Alright, jumping in here because I've been hearing whispers that are starting to make me nervous. No smoke without fire, right? A few people in [specific area, e.g., manufacturing/marketing] have been let go quietly in the last month or so, not tied to performance reviews, just... gone. Now, leadership is suddenly very cagey about headcount projections and 'strategic realignments.' It feels like a classic prelude to something bigger. Has anyone else heard anything concrete, or is this just the usual end-of-year jitters amplified? I'm trying to get a pulse on whether this is a widespread thing or just isolated incidents. I've been with ISG for a while and these rumors always seem to surface every so often, especially around earnings season. While I understand the concern given the current economic climate, I've also seen 'strategic realignments' before that didn't result in major layoffs. It's possible these are just isolated incidents or internal reorgs that aren't being communicated broadly yet. I'm holding off on panic until there's more official word or a pattern emerges across multiple departments.
