Invesco - Anyone else notice a hiring slowdown?

Hey everyone, I've been keeping an eye on the market and specifically Invesco. I haven't seen any official announcements or heard concrete layoff news, but it feels like things have definitely slowed down on the hiring front lately. My team was looking to backfill a couple of roles and the process has been stalled for weeks with no clear timeline. Recruiters are being super cagey too, just saying 'budget review' or 'prioritizing internal candidates'. Makes you wonder if something's brewing under the surface. Anyone else in a similar boat or heard anything through the grapevine? Curious if this is a firm-wide thing or just specific departments. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the silence is a bit unnerving.

I've noticed a similar vibe here too. We had a few roles open up last quarter and the hiring process felt much more deliberate and drawn out than usual. Recruiters were definitely less communicative, and the 'budget review' excuse seemed to be the standard response. It's hard not to get a little antsy when things go quiet like this, makes you question the stability a bit.

Interesting you bring this up. My experience hasn't been quite as dramatic, but I have seen a definite shift. Where before it felt like positions were being filled relatively quickly, now there's a longer lead time. It could just be a seasonal thing or a strategic reallocation of resources, but the lack of transparency is certainly noticeable and leads to speculation.
