Invesco - Performance review process feels… different

Has anyone else noticed a change in how performance reviews are being handled at Invesco lately? I'm not talking about the actual ratings, but the whole process. It feels more scrutinized, and there's a lot more emphasis on 'alignment' with broader firm goals, which is fine, but it feels like a preamble to something. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but the energy in some of the team meetings has shifted. Fewer people volunteering ideas, more just nodding along. It's subtle, but I'm definitely feeling a heightened sense of uncertainty. Has anyone heard any whispers or seen anything concrete that explains this shift? Just trying to gauge if this is a firm-wide thing or if my team is just going through a rough patch. Appreciate any insights.

I've definitely felt a shift too. It's less about individual contributions and more about how your work fits into the larger Invesco puzzle. While I understand the need for strategic alignment, it does make things feel a bit more rigid. The collaborative spirit feels a little dampened, and I've noticed a similar hesitancy in sharing unfiltered thoughts during meetings. It's almost like a pre-emptive measure for something, though what that might be remains unclear.

You're not alone. The focus on 'firm goals' has really intensified, and it feels like the individual's perspective is being sidelined in favor of a top-down mandate. I've also observed a noticeable decrease in open discussion and a rise in passive agreement, which is concerning. It's created a bit of an uneasy atmosphere where people seem less inclined to stick their necks out with innovative ideas, perhaps fearing they won't 'align' correctly.
