It is definitely not just you. The scripted nature of these town halls is becoming impossible to ignore, and the lack of concrete answers regarding headcount is creating a lot of unnecessary anxiety across the teams. When leadership stops addressing the elephant in the room—especially when it comes to the gap between unrealistic targets and our actual capacity—it sends a clear message that they are prioritizing optics over the reality of our daily grind. The transparency we used to have is long gone, replaced by corporate buzzwords that don't answer anyone’s real concerns.
Honestly, I stopped expecting any real answers during those calls a long time ago. At this point, it feels like they are just reading off a slide deck prepared by legal to ensure nothing of substance is actually communicated. Whether it’s intentional stalling or they are genuinely lost on how to hit those Q3 targets with the current staff, the silence is deafening. Morale is taking a hit because we all know the numbers don't add up, but nobody wants to be the one to admit it on record. Just keep your head down and focus on your own output for now.
