Anyone else feeling the pressure to do more with less at Jacobs?

So, I've been with Jacobs for a few years now, and lately, it feels like the workload is increasing while the resources seem to be shrinking. It's not just my team; I've heard similar sentiments from colleagues in other departments. We're being asked to deliver more, often with tighter deadlines, and there's a noticeable lack of new hires to backfill positions. This isn't a complaint thread, per se, but more of an observation. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there internal communications about efficiency drives or restructuring that I might have missed? I'm trying to understand the broader strategy here. It's a bit unsettling when you feel like you're constantly being asked to stretch further without seeing corresponding support. Just looking for some shared experiences or any insights into what might be driving this. Hoping it's just a phase.

I can definitely relate. It feels like the expectation is always to optimize and achieve more, which is fine in principle, but the practical implementation sometimes feels like stretching us thinner than we can sustainably manage. It's a constant balancing act, trying to meet demanding project goals without burning out the team. Communication about how these resource constraints are being addressed would be helpful.

Yeah, it's a familiar story. Seems like a common trend across many industries right now. The push for efficiency is understandable from a business perspective, but it does put a strain on the day-to-day execution. Hoping there are strategies being put in place to address this long-term, rather than just asking us to keep doing more with the same or fewer tools.
