Jacobs Q3 performance and project pipeline outlook

Hey everyone, has anyone else noticed a slowdown in new project awards or a general tightening of budgets on existing ones at Jacobs lately? I'm in [Department Name] and it feels like things are starting to get a bit lean. Not hearing any official layoff talk, but the vibe is definitely more cautious than it was a few months ago. Thinking about our Q3 earnings call and the commentary around market conditions. Wondering if this is a company-wide trend or if certain sectors are feeling it more than others. Curious to hear what others are seeing out there, especially those in client-facing roles. Just trying to get a sense of the landscape and if this is a temporary blip or something more sustained. Anyone have insights into the long-term project pipeline? Trying to stay optimistic but also realistic.

I've definitely felt a similar shift in my area too. Budgets seem tighter, and the pace of new business acquisition feels slower than expected. It's making me re-evaluate some of our longer-term projections. Not sure if it's sector-specific or a broader economic impact on our clients. I'm keeping a close eye on the next earnings call for any official guidance on market conditions and how they plan to navigate it.

Interesting you bring this up. While I haven't seen a major slowdown in my direct projects, there's certainly a heightened sense of scrutiny on expenses and a longer decision-making process for new initiatives. It feels like clients are being more deliberate with their capital. It's a good time to focus on delivering exceptional value on current contracts and ensuring our proposals are exceptionally strong and well-justified.
