It is honestly disgusting how they handled this. Dropping 463 people with barely any warning shows exactly where the leadership’s priorities lie. They talk about 'delivering solutions' and 'valuing talent' in the corporate brochures, but when it comes down to actual human lives, they treat everyone like disposable inventory. My heart goes out to the folks at APG. Take the time you need to update your resumes and network, because this company clearly doesn't care about the people who built their reputation.
This is the inevitable result of the constant restructuring cycle. Jacobs has been shifting focus for a while now, and unfortunately, the long-term staff are the ones who always pay the price for these strategic pivots. The lack of transparency in the notification process is particularly telling. It is a harsh reminder that loyalty is a one-way street in this industry. If you are still there, keep your options open and make sure you aren't waiting for a company that will cut you loose without a second thought.
