Anyone else hearing whispers about RIFs at Smucker?

Hey all, been at Smucker for a few years now in [Department]. Lately, there's been a weird tension in the air. Budgets feel tighter, travel is getting scrutinized way more, and some projects are just... disappearing. Management's been pretty mum, which just adds to the anxiety. Has anyone else in other departments noticed similar things or heard any rumors about potential workforce reductions? Trying to gauge if this is just my team or a broader company-wide thing. Any intel would be appreciated, trying to stay ahead of things if possible. Just want to know what's going on, if anything. Feels like things are shifting and nobody's really explaining why.

I've been hearing similar murmurs, though nothing concrete. My team hasn't seen direct cuts, but the general atmosphere has definitely changed. It feels like everyone's walking on eggshells, and the usual open communication seems to have dried up. The budget tightening is very real, and it's definitely impacting how we operate day-to-day. Interesting you bring this up. Over in [Different Department], we've also felt the pinch. A few key initiatives that were supposed to kick off this quarter have been put on indefinite hold, and there's been a noticeable slowdown in hiring for open roles. Management's silence is definitely fueling the speculation. While I haven't heard any specific numbers or departments being targeted, the overall sentiment is that things are tighter than they've been. Hope we get some clarity soon.
