Quiet departures in middle management - seeing a pattern?

I’ve counted at least three directors in my region who have 'decided to pursue other opportunities' in the last month alone, and none of them were retirements. It feels suspiciously coordinated. Last time we had a major headcount reduction, the departures started at the top levels about a month before the general staff impact hit. Has anyone else noticed the same pattern in their business unit? It feels like they are clearing out the mid-level management layer before merging some of these internal silos. The silence from HR is deafening, and the intranet hasn't updated the org chart in weeks. If you’re at JCI right now, keep your head on a swivel and make sure you’ve backed up any performance metrics or documentation you might need for severance negotiations. Better safe than sorry.

I’ve been tracking the LinkedIn updates in my own division and the trend is impossible to ignore. Three departures in thirty days isn't just a coincidence, it’s a strategy. Whenever the leadership starts jumping ship simultaneously, it’s almost always a precursor to a massive restructuring or a consolidation play. Keep your resume polished and start quiet-networking now, because the writing is clearly on the wall for the next round of cuts. This is exactly how the last cycle played out before the layoffs hit the production floor.
