Anyone else feeling extra anxious lately?

I'm in tech at JPMC, been here almost 8 years. Usually I don't sweat the occasional 'restructuring' email, but something feels different this time. Maybe it's just the general market, but I keep hearing whispers about "efficiency initiatives" and headcount reduction targets. My team's been pretty quiet, which honestly makes me more nervous. Anyone else getting a similar vibe in their department? I'm trying not to doomscroll, but it's hard when your livelihood is on the line. Thinking about brushing up my resume just in case. Is this just me, or are others feeling the pressure too?

Yeah, I'm in a different line of business, but the silence is deafening. We usually get some kind of rah-rah email, even if it's just corporate speak. The fact that leadership is radio silent makes me think there's definitely something brewing. I've been updating my resume just in case. Better to be prepared than caught off guard.

Honestly, people always say this. Been at JPMC for 15+ years and there's always some kind of 'restructuring' rumor floating around. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Try to focus on what you can control: delivering solid work and being a valuable team member. Stressing about hypotheticals won't help anyone. Might be nothing!
