Saw the WARN notice for the 61 folks in NJ and honestly, it’s giving me anxiety. I’m in a different region, but the vibe in the office has been weirdly quiet for weeks. Leadership keeps talking about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' in every town hall, which we all know is just code for headcount reduction. I've been with JPMC for a few years and the performance reviews this cycle felt tougher than usual, almost like they were looking for any reason to trim the fat. Is anyone else seeing managers tighten the screws in other states? Trying to figure out if this is a localized NJ adjustment or if we’re looking at a slow-bleed nationwide strategy. I’m in a different region and it’s the exact same story here. The 'streamlining' buzzwords have been non-stop, and there is a palpable tension during every team meeting. My manager has been acting completely different lately, almost like they are being instructed to document everything. It feels like we are all just waiting for the other shoe to drop, and the constant ambiguity is honestly draining. Good luck to everyone currently stuck in the crosshairs.
