So, the Yahoo Finance article dropped on July 10th about JPMC layoffs, mentioning Jersey City. Around 200 employees reportedly. Curious if anyone has direct intel from within the JC offices. Was it across the board, or specific departments? Seems like a significant number. I've heard whispers of hiring freezes in some areas, so this isn't entirely surprising, but still a tough pill to swallow for those affected. Anyone know if this impacts roles in tech, operations, or front office specifically? Any info on severance packages or outplacement support would be helpful for those navigating this. The Yahoo Finance report is pretty concerning. 200 sounds like a substantial cut, especially if it's hitting specific areas hard. I haven't heard anything concrete about Jersey City specifically, but the general chatter about hiring freezes across some divisions does lend some credence to the idea that cuts were coming.
