Plano layoffs hit hard, anyone else from that group still employed?

Hey all, saw the news about the 244 cuts in Plano on 6/24. That's a pretty significant chunk. I'm in a similar division but at a different location, thankfully safe for now. But it's making me nervous, wondering if this is just the start or if it was a targeted house cleaning. For anyone who was impacted in Plano, what's the word on the street about severance packages? Anything unusually generous or stingy? Trying to brace myself and others for what might be coming down the pipeline. Keep hearing whispers but nothing concrete. It's tough seeing so many colleagues go, and it makes you wonder about the future stability here.

That's rough news about the Plano layoffs. It's completely understandable to feel nervous when you're in a similar division, even if you're safe for now. The uncertainty is the worst part. Regarding severance, unfortunately, I haven't heard anything specific about the Plano packages. Companies often try to keep those details pretty quiet. Your best bet might be to discreetly ask around within your network if anyone has insider info, but be cautious about who you approach. Staying informed is key, but don't let the worry consume you.

Honestly, these kinds of 'targeted house cleaning' rumors always surface after layoffs. It's hard to say for sure if it's a wider issue or specific to that group. For severance, banks are generally pretty standardized, but there can be slight variations based on tenure and level. Don't assume anything until you see an official package. If you're worried about your own position, it might be worth updating your resume and discreetly exploring other opportunities, just to have options. Being prepared never hurts.
