Kellanova - Anyone else seeing a hiring freeze vibe?

Hey everyone, lurking here for a while and have a question for my fellow Kellanova folks. Things have felt a bit weird in my department lately. We've had a couple of roles open for months that aren't moving, and any requests for new hires or even temporary contractors are getting a hard 'no' with no explanation. I've also noticed a lot less chatter about new projects kicking off, and a general sense of 'hunker down' from leadership. Just wondering if this is isolated to my team or if others are picking up on a similar vibe across the company. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the lack of transparency is making me nervous. Anyone else in a similar boat or heard any whispers?

I've been picking up on that too, though maybe not as directly. In my area, there's definitely a sense that budgets are tighter than usual. We haven't seen any new external postings for a while, and internal transfers seem to be moving at a glacial pace. It feels like a general belt-tightening, which might be why new hires or contractors are being stalled. Hopefully, it's just a temporary measure to recalibrate things.

Interesting you bring this up. We haven't had any explicit communication about a freeze, but the lack of movement on those open positions is definitely noticeable. My manager alluded to 'resource allocation reviews' recently, which sounds like corporate speak for 'we're not spending money right now.'
