Just saw the WARN notice for the New York office, 39 people let go effective March 31st. It’s always the same cycle here—the company claims we’re optimizing, but morale is absolutely in the gutter. My manager has been completely silent since the news broke, and we aren't getting any straight answers from HR about whether this is just a regional play or if there’s a larger wave coming down the pipe for the rest of the offices. I’ve been here for over five years, and it feels like every quarter we’re just waiting for the next shoe to drop. If you’re in the NY hub, hope you guys are holding up okay. Has anyone heard if this is connected to any specific department or if they're just cutting across the board? Really trying to figure out if I need to start polishing up my resume this weekend.

I heard the same thing regarding the New York layoffs, and honestly, it’s not surprising given the recent shift in focus at headquarters. Management has been tight-lipped, which only makes the anxiety worse for those of us in other regions. When they start cutting in one hub, it’s usually just the beginning of a larger headcount reduction plan. I’ve started updating my resume just in case, because waiting for an official memo at KMI usually means you’re already behind the curve. Good luck to everyone getting the boot today.
