Hey everyone, I'm feeling a bit uneasy at KMI and wanted to see if anyone else is picking up on something similar. Been hearing a lot of whispers about 'optimizing operations' and 'strategic realignment' in recent town halls, but it all feels a bit buzzword-heavy and deliberately vague. My department hasn't seen any direct announcements, but there's a definite chill in the air. Projects are being scrutinized more than ever, and there's a noticeable slowdown in hiring for some roles. Performance reviews also seem to be weighted differently this cycle, focusing more on 'efficiency gains' than traditional metrics. Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just overthinking things. Anyone else noticing shifts in management's tone or project prioritization? Curious to hear what others are hearing or feeling on the ground.

Yeah, I'm picking up on similar vibes. The talk about 'efficiency' has been constant, and it definitely feels like a precursor to some difficult decisions. Projects that were greenlit just months ago are suddenly on the back burner, and the scrutiny on every dollar spent is intense. It's hard not to worry when the language is so corporate and evasive about what it actually means for us on the ground.

Totally. That 'strategic realignment' phrasing is a classic. Heard similar chatter myself, especially around project approvals and resource allocation. It’s creating a lot of uncertainty, and you can feel the tension climbing. People are definitely looking over their shoulders. Hope it doesn't lead to widespread cuts, but the signs aren't exactly reassuring right now.
