Been keeping an eye on open positions within KMI recently, and it feels like the floodgates have closed. A few months back, it seemed like there were constant openings across various divisions, especially for [specific roles, e.g., project managers, field technicians]. Now? Crickets. Even roles that typically churn seem to be on hold or have disappeared. This is coming right after that executive announcement about 'strategic focus' and 'efficiency gains.' Not trying to jump to conclusions, but this feels like a precursor to something. Anyone else in HR or hiring management roles seeing this across the board? Or is it just a seasonal slowdown I'm overthinking? Curious to hear what others are seeing on the ground.

Yeah, I've seen the same thing. It's definitely a noticeable slowdown in hiring compared to even six months ago. Used to be a lot more movement, but now many roles seem to stay posted for ages or just vanish. Makes you wonder what the long-term outlook really is, especially with the 'efficiency' talk. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull and not indicative of bigger issues down the line.

Interesting you bring that up. I noticed a similar pattern. Was looking at some openings a while back and they were everywhere. Now, it's like the talent acquisition team went radio silent. It definitely correlates with the recent management statements. Makes one pause and think about the company's direction and how that might impact job security for current employees and opportunities for new ones.
