Kinder Morgan - Performance reviews feel... different this year

Curious if others at KMI are noticing a shift in how performance reviews are being handled this year. Usually, it's pretty straightforward, maybe some goals for next year. But this cycle feels different. A lot more emphasis on 'impact' and 'value contribution' in a way that feels a bit like they're building a case for something. Plus, the usual post-review discussions about career progression seem to be on hold. My manager is being super vague when I ask about future opportunities or training. It's making me nervous, especially with everything else going on in the energy sector. Is this just me being paranoid, or are others seeing this too? Feels like they're subtly paving the way for difficult conversations down the line, and I'm trying to figure out if I should be updating my resume.

Yeah, I've felt a similar vibe. The 'impact' language is definitely new, and it feels less like a standard review and more like an assessment of whether you're 'aligned' with whatever the current corporate narrative is. My manager also skirted around any talk of promotions or development, just kept repeating that we need to focus on 'delivering results.' Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Hope it's not what I'm starting to suspect.
