Anyone else feeling uneasy about KLA right now?

Been here about 4 years, mostly on the software side for one of the core product lines. Lately, things have felt... off. Budgets seem tighter, hiring has slowed to a crawl, and there's this general quietness from leadership that wasn't there before. My skip-level meeting last week was pretty vague about Q4 projections. Haven't heard any concrete rumors about layoffs, but the vibe just isn't great. Anyone else picking up on this? Trying not to panic but it's hard not to think about it.

I've been with KLA for a bit longer, and I've seen cycles like this before. The industry is inherently cyclical, and while the 'vibe' might feel off, it doesn't always translate to immediate doom and gloom. The software side often gets more scrutinized during budget reviews, but remember that's also where a lot of the innovation happens. I'd focus on delivering excellent work and documenting your contributions. If something major were brewing, you'd likely see more concrete signals than just a quiet leadership and slower hiring. Stay the course for now.

Honestly, I'm not feeling it. My team's roadmap is still packed, and we just got approval for some key hires we'd been pushing for. Maybe it's specific to certain departments or product lines? The software side can sometimes have different pressures than hardware or manufacturing, for example. Skip-level meetings can be vague for all sorts of reasons, not just bad news. Unless you're seeing actual project cancellations or direct mentions of cutbacks, I'd take the 'uneasy' feeling with a grain of salt. Keep an eye out, but don't let it distract you from your work.
