Feeling the pressure: Performance expectations vs. current headcount

Is it just me, or has the workload become absolutely unsustainable lately? We are losing people left and right, yet the project timelines and 'priority initiatives' remain exactly the same. How are we expected to maintain the same output with a skeleton crew? I’ve been staying late almost every night this month trying to pick up the slack for people who already left, and I’m starting to wonder if this is even worth the stress anymore. It feels like they’re just waiting to see how much they can squeeze out of the remaining employees before the next round of cuts. Does anyone else get the feeling that staying here is just a setup for burnout while we wait to see if we make the next WARN notice list? Seriously considering looking elsewhere before my name pops up on a spreadsheet.

It is the exact same story in my department. The leadership keeps pushing these ambitious roadmap goals as if we still have a full staff, but the talent drain is real. I have stopped trying to compensate for the vacancies because all it gets you is more work and burnout. At this point, I am just doing my core tasks and leaving on time. If the projects slip, that is a management problem, not ours. You need to prioritize your own mental health over these arbitrary deadlines.

I have been at KLA for years, and this is the worst I have seen it regarding resource allocation. They seem to be banking on the 'do more with less' mentality, but it is hitting a breaking point. It feels like they would rather watch the remaining people burn out than adjust expectations or hire backfill. If you are already staying late every night, you are just proving to them that the current staffing levels are 'working' on paper. Start setting firm boundaries now, or you will eventually just quit like everyone else.
