KHC - Performance reviews feel different this year...

So, performance reviews just wrapped up at KHC and honestly, it felt more intense than usual. My manager spent a lot of time talking about 'strategic alignment' and 'maximizing efficiency,' which is fine, but it also felt like they were building a case for something. There's no specific layoff announcement, but the wording felt like they're really digging into performance metrics and identifying who's 'critical' and who's... not. My bonus payout was decent, but the overall tone of the review was less about growth and development and more about 'proving your value.' Anyone else in KHC have a similar experience with their recent reviews? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide push or just my manager going a bit overboard.

Yeah, I felt that too during my review. The focus on 'strategic alignment' was definitely ramped up, and it felt like a more granular look at how each role contributes. While I understand the need for efficiency, the emphasis on identifying 'critical' roles did create a bit of an uneasy atmosphere. It's hard to shake the feeling that adjustments might be coming down the line, even if nothing is official yet. Hopefully, it just leads to better focus and not unwanted changes.

Interesting you brought that up. My review also had a very 'data-driven' feel to it this year, with a lot of emphasis on quantifiable results and how they tie into the broader company goals. My manager mentioned something about optimizing team structures to better support key initiatives. It's a bit of a tightrope walk between acknowledging achievements and preparing for potential shifts. The bonus was okay, but the underlying message seemed to be about justifying every position's value going forward.
