Kroger - Anyone else notice less stocking during open hours?

Hey all, been working at Kroger for a few years now, mostly in the deli/bakery section. Lately, I've noticed a pretty significant drop in stocking happening during store hours. Usually, we'd have a couple of people on the floor all day, but it seems like that's been scaled back quite a bit. Most of the big stocking happens overnight now, and during the day it's mostly just quick top-offs. It's making it harder to keep shelves looking full, especially during busy weekend rushes. Customers are definitely noticing and asking where things are. Management's been a bit tight-lipped about it, just saying "optimizing labor" or "focusing resources." Feels like they're trying to cut down on any staff not directly serving customers, which I get to a point, but it's impacting the overall presentation of the store. Anyone else seeing this trend? Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just specific to our division.

Yeah, I've definitely seen that too. It's frustrating when you go in for a few specific items and the shelves are looking pretty bare, especially on a Saturday afternoon. I figured they were just trying to be more efficient with overnight stocking, but it really does make a difference to the shopping experience when you can't find what you need. Makes me wonder if it's a corporate decision to save on labor costs during the day, or if individual stores are just struggling to staff effectively.

I'm not an employee, but as a regular shopper, I've absolutely noticed a difference. It feels like a lot more 'on the fly' stocking is happening now, and sometimes it's a bit inconvenient. There have been a few times I've seen employees trying to restock a whole aisle while a bunch of people are trying to get past. I get that things change, but it does impact the overall flow and appearance of the store. Hopefully, they can find a better balance.
