Kroger - Management Shuffle or Something More?

Been with Kroger for a while now, and lately, the vibe in my store feels... off. We've had a few mid-level management positions open up and then suddenly get 're-evaluated.' It's not outright panic, but there's definitely a low hum of uncertainty. We're hearing whispers about 'efficiency drives' and 'streamlining operations,' which is corporate speak for 'figure out how to do more with less.' My manager is tight-lipped, just saying 'business as usual,' but you can see the wheels turning. Are they just reorganizing, or is this the precursor to actual cuts? We've seen some departments shrink in terms of staffing over the last year, not through layoffs, but just not replacing people who leave. It makes you wonder if they're slowly trimming the fat.
