Kroger corporate culture is at an all-time low

I’m honestly exhausted. The constant shifting of teams and the quiet departures every few months have turned the office into a graveyard. You walk into meetings and half the faces are new, or people just vanish from the directory without a word. Today’s news about the August 14th cuts is just the cherry on top. How are we supposed to hit these insane targets when morale is non-existent? I’ve been here long enough to see the cycles, but the frequency lately is just brutal. It feels like they’re trying to run the business on a skeleton crew while still expecting the same output as five years ago. I’m spending half my day polishing my resume instead of doing my actual job because I don’t trust that I’ll be here by Q4. Is anyone actually thriving here, or are we all just waiting for our turn at the chopping block? Seriously, if you're looking for a sign to start interviewing elsewhere, this is it.

I feel you. The constant churn is honestly soul-crushing. You put your head down, do the work, and hope you're not next on the chopping block, but that's no way to build a career. It feels like leadership is more focused on shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic than actually supporting the people who keep the lights on. I’ve started updating my resume every weekend just in case, because waiting for the next shoe to drop is exhausting.

It is brutal out there right now, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with that environment. When the institutional knowledge walks out the door every few months, it just makes the work harder for everyone remaining. It’s hard to stay motivated when the company culture feels like a revolving door. Honestly, don't beat yourself up for not hitting those impossible targets. Protect your peace, do what you can, and keep an eye on the exit—you deserve to work somewhere that actually values your stability.
