Anyone else feeling the vibe at Lam? Layoffs incoming?

Hey all, been lurking here for a bit and seeing a lot of chatter about potential cuts across the semiconductor industry. Wanted to see if anyone at Lam Research is feeling the same unease. Things have felt a little... off lately. Fewer new projects being kicked off, some whispers about budget freezes, and a general sense of the company tightening its belt. My team hasn't seen any direct impact yet, but the overall mood is definitely more cautious than it was even a few months ago. Management seems a bit more tight-lipped than usual, and performance reviews felt a little more pointed this cycle. Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just overthinking things. Anyone else in a similar boat or heard anything concrete? Trying to prepare myself mentally, if nothing else.

I'm definitely sensing something similar. We've seen a slowdown in equipment orders from some of our key clients, which usually precedes a pullback on the manufacturing side. While there haven't been any official announcements, the shift in project prioritization and the increased scrutiny on expenses is hard to ignore. It's making everyone a bit nervous about what might be around the corner, especially with the current market conditions.

I hear you. My department's been told to hold off on any non-essential travel and hiring has been frozen for the last quarter. The communication from leadership has been pretty vague, which only adds to the anxiety. I'm hoping it's just a temporary slowdown and not something more serious, but the feeling of unease is definitely palpable across the organization. Fingers crossed it blows over soon.
