Been seeing a lot of chatter on other semiconductor forums about potential upcoming layoffs across the industry, and it got me thinking about Lam. We haven't had any official word, and honestly, things feel business as usual on the surface. But you know how it is, things can change fast in this business. My team hasn't heard anything concrete, but there's been a slight uptick in 'efficiency' talks and some projects getting re-prioritized. Just wondering if anyone else has picked up on anything, however small, that might signal something down the line. Trying not to stress, but also trying to stay informed. Anyone else feeling this, or am I just overthinking based on industry trends?

Interesting observation. While things feel normal on my end too, I've noticed a few more internal emails about 'streamlining processes' lately, which often precede workforce adjustments. It's subtle, but the language is definitely a bit more focused on optimization than it used to be. Hoping it's just standard operational adjustments, but the industry-wide whispers are definitely unsettling.

Yeah, I've been feeling it too, though nothing concrete. My department has been asked to document 'non-essential' tasks, which is a new development. It's probably nothing, but it's hard not to connect the dots with all the talk about market slowdowns. Hopefully, it's just proactive planning and not a sign of things to come.
