I am so sorry to hear about the Kentucky facility layoffs. It’s brutal how quickly they cut access once the decision is made. I’ve survived a few rounds at Lam over the years, and you are 100% correct about the IT lockout. Don't rely on internal systems for a second longer than you have to. Download your performance reviews, project successes, and contact info for colleagues you actually like right now. It’s better to be paranoid and prepared than to wake up tomorrow morning to a dead badge and zero leverage. Keep your head up.
The severance package being 'standard' sounds about right for corporate. I’ve seen this pattern play out enough to know that the outplacement services are almost always just a box-checking exercise for HR. It’s frustrating that they treat people who have put in years of hard work like a temporary data entry issue. My advice to those still there is to stop trusting the 'business as usual' messaging. This company has shifted its culture significantly, and nobody is as safe as they think. Start updating your resume tonight and network outside of the company while you still have your current title.
