Anyone else feeling the dread? LW seems quiet but...

Been at Lamb Weston for about 7 years now, in the operations side. Lately, it just feels…tense. Management is being super tight-lipped, and there's been a noticeable slowdown in new projects. Usually, we're buzzing with innovation, but it's like the air's been sucked out. I haven't heard any official word, and there aren't any rumors swirling on the floor that are concrete, but the general vibe is just…off. It reminds me a bit of the lead-up to the last downturn, and I'm starting to get that knot in my stomach. Anyone else in a similar boat? What are your teams seeing or hearing? Trying not to panic but it's hard when things feel so uncertain.

Yeah, I'm hearing whispers too, though nothing concrete. I've been here 5 years on the logistics side and it's definitely a different feel. Usually, there's at least some chatter about what's coming, but it's been radio silence lately. It's understandable to feel uneasy when things change like that, especially with past experiences. Maybe try to connect with some folks in other departments? Sometimes you get a different perspective from elsewhere. Hopefully, it's just a quiet period before the next big push.

I'm not so sure about all this 'dread'. Management is always going to be a bit tight-lipped, that's their job. And sometimes projects slow down – it's the nature of the business. We had a similar feeling a couple of years back, and then a new product line launched that kept everyone busy for months. Instead of dwelling on what might be, I'm focusing on making sure my own work is solid and keeping my resume updated. That way, whatever happens, I'm prepared.
