Lamb Weston: Any early signs of trouble?

I've been keeping an eye on LW for a while, and while there haven't been any official announcements, I've been noticing some odd signals lately. Some vendors have been hinting at delayed payments or reduced orders, which is usually a red flag. Also, overheard some hushed conversations about budget reviews being more intense than usual this quarter. Could just be normal business fluctuations, but combined with the general economic climate, it's making me a bit nervous. Anyone else in procurement, finance, or supply chain seeing anything that suggests a potential slowdown or, dare I say, restructuring? Just trying to get a pulse check from others who might have a clearer view.

Interesting observations. I haven't heard anything specific about LW directly, but the whispers you're picking up align with what I'm seeing across a few different supply chains right now. Intensified budget reviews definitely suggest a tightening of belts somewhere. It's hard to say if it's a sector-wide trend or company-specific, but your instincts are valid given the current economic uncertainties. I'll be keeping a closer watch myself.

That's concerning to hear. My experience with LW has always been smooth, so delayed payments or order reductions would be quite out of character. I work with a few other food processing companies, and yes, there's definitely a cautious mood overall due to inflation and consumer spending habits. Could these vendor issues be isolated incidents, or are they pointing to a broader operational strain at Lamb Weston? Thanks for flagging this.
