Hey everyone, been with LW for a few years now and lately, the vibe has been a bit off. Not hearing any concrete news, but there's definitely a hush-hush atmosphere in some departments. Project scopes seem to be tightening, and there's been a noticeable slowdown in hiring for some roles. Management seems a bit more guarded in all-hands meetings, avoiding direct questions about headcount. Anyone else picking up on similar signals? Wondering if it's just my department or a broader trend. Curious to hear what others are experiencing, especially in different divisions.

Yeah, I've been feeling that too, though I wasn't sure if I was just overthinking things. There's a general sense of caution creeping in, and you're right about the project scopes – seems like we're being asked to do more with less lately. I've noticed a few more people wearing 'different hats' than usual. Not sure what it all means, but it's definitely a change from the usual pace.

Interesting that you're noticing this. I haven't heard anything specific but have definitely felt a shift in the 'tone' of communications from leadership. It feels less open, and when questions about the future come up, the answers are a bit more generic than they used to be. The slowdown in hiring definitely supports your observation. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment period.
