It is the same old story with leadership here. They prioritize short-term numbers to appease Wall Street while ignoring the actual operational reality. Cutting the workforce in Connell while demand remains high is pure mismanagement. It is insulting to call this 'strategic realignment' when it is clearly just a failure to plan for the long term. Everyone knows those of us with the most tenure are the first ones tossed aside, regardless of how much we have given to keep these lines running. The lack of transparency is just the cherry on top.
Honestly, I stopped expecting anything different from the higher-ups a long time ago. They exist in a bubble where they think they can just trim costs and boost margins without consequences, but they are forgetting that the machines do not run themselves. The vagueness in their messaging is a deliberate tactic to keep us from realizing how deep the mismanagement actually goes. It’s hard to stay motivated when you see experienced coworkers being treated like disposable line items. At this rate, who is even left to train the new hires?
