LVS: Anyone else feeling the pinch?

Is it just me or is there a weird atmosphere at LVS lately? I'm not talking about any official layoff news, because there isn't any that I've seen. But I've been hearing more and more chatter from colleagues, mostly in hushed tones, about budget freezes and project delays. Some of the usual perks seem to be disappearing too, or at least getting scaled back. It feels like management is tightening the purse strings, and I can't help but wonder what that means for the rest of us in the long run. Has anyone had conversations with their managers about this, or seen any internal memos that might hint at what's coming? Trying to get a read on the situation before things potentially get worse. Appreciate any insights, trying to stay ahead of the curve here.

I've definitely picked up on a similar vibe. It's subtle, but there's a distinct shift in how things are being handled. Those small, everyday things that used to be standard are either gone or require more hoops to jump through. My department has seen a few projects put on indefinite hold, which is concerning. It’s hard to ignore when you're on the ground experiencing it, even without official announcements. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes.

You're not alone. While nothing concrete has been announced, the general sentiment among my peers is one of apprehension. There's definitely a sense of caution, with spending being scrutinized much more closely than before. We've had some internal initiatives scaled back, and even the frequency of certain team-building activities seems to have decreased. It's the quiet changes that often speak volumes, and right now, they're signaling a period of belt-tightening.
