Following up on the recent Leidos layoff news (July 13th, ~305 people). The initial reports are a bit vague on specifics. Curious if anyone who was directly affected, or knows someone who was, can shed light on which divisions or types of roles were most impacted? Was it primarily technical, program management, or across the board? Trying to gauge the broader implications for different parts of the company. Heard through the grapevine it hit a few different engineering teams pretty hard, especially those working on older, legacy systems that are being phased out. Also saw some chatter about administrative support roles being consolidated. Doesn't seem to be concentrated in just one area, but more of a targeted reduction across functions where efficiency gains are being sought.
