Leidos layoffs - what's the sentiment?

So, the layoffs happened. 305 people gone. It's never easy to see colleagues impacted, and it definitely shakes things up for everyone remaining. I'm curious about the general feeling within the company right now. Are people feeling more anxious about job security? Is morale down across the board, or are some teams/departments more insulated? I've noticed a bit more quiet in team chats and a general sense of 'walking on eggshells' lately. Anyone else feeling this? How are managers handling it? Are there any all-hands planned to address this? Just looking to get a pulse on the company sentiment post-layoff. It's tough out there.

It's tough seeing this happen, no doubt. The silence you're noticing is probably a mix of shock and uncertainty. Folks are likely re-evaluating their positions and wondering what comes next, not just for themselves but for the projects and teams they're part of. Management's communication, or lack thereof, really amplifies those feelings. Keeping communication channels open, even if the news isn't great, can at least help manage expectations.

I've observed a similar vibe. It feels like the company is trying to project stability, but the underlying anxiety is palpable.
