Linde - Anyone else feeling the pressure? What's the vibe?

Hey all, been with Linde for a few years now and lately, the atmosphere feels a bit... off. Not hearing any official news, but there's a palpable tension. Project timelines seem tighter, and there's been a lot more talk about 'optimization' and 'efficiency gains' in town halls. It's hard to shake the feeling that something might be brewing. Anyone else picking up on this? What department are you in and what are you hearing, if anything? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just my team/site. Curious to hear what others are seeing and if anyone has any concrete intel, however small. Just trying to stay informed and prepared, you know? Thanks for sharing.

I'm in operations and have noticed the same shift. It's like the goalposts keep moving, and the 'optimization' talk always seems to lead to more individual accountability and less room for error. The pressure to hit metrics is definitely up. I haven't heard anything concrete, but the feeling of unease is definitely shared amongst my team. It makes it hard to focus when you're constantly anticipating the next shoe to drop.

Totally feeling it too, though maybe from a different angle in R&D. We're being pushed for quicker deliverables on new tech, and the resources sometimes feel stretched thinner than before. It's less about 'tension' and more about a frantic energy to get things done. The 'efficiency gains' rhetoric feels like a precursor to something, but we're all just heads-down trying to deliver what's asked.
