Linde - Seeing some strange reorganizations, anyone else?

Hey everyone, been with Linde for a few years now and things have felt a bit… off lately. Not hearing any direct layoff rumors, but there have been a lot of departmental shuffles and 'efficiency drives' that feel like they're setting something up. My team's been asked to document processes that feel pretty redundant, and there's been a hiring freeze on non-essential roles for a while now. Management is super tight-lipped, just giving the usual 'business as usual' kind of answers. It's making people nervous, myself included. Wondering if anyone else is seeing similar signs or has any inside scoop on what might be brewing. Is this a normal cycle for Linde, or is something bigger happening behind the scenes? Feels like we're all just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Yeah, definitely noticing some odd shifts. My department underwent a 'restructuring' a few months back, and it feels like we're just waiting for the next shoe to drop. The constant talk of 'synergy' and 'optimization' without clear direction is pretty unsettling. Seems like a lot of busywork is being assigned to justify these changes, but nobody can really explain the end goal. It's creating a weird atmosphere where people are either stressed or just disengaged, trying to fly under the radar.

I've heard similar things. It's the quiet before the storm, maybe? The hiring freeze and the strange process documentation stuff are red flags for sure. It's frustrating when leadership isn't transparent; it breeds speculation and anxiety among employees. I'm hoping it's just a normal business cycle adjustment, but the vibe is definitely not 'business as usual' right now. Keep your eyes and ears open, I guess.
