Hey all, been with Loews for a few years now and things have been... quiet. Almost too quiet. I haven't heard any whispers about layoffs, and honestly, it's making me a bit antsy. Usually, this time of year there's some chatter, maybe a reorg rumor, something. But crickets. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed this weird stillness across the company? Are departments consolidating without anyone knowing? Are they just letting attrition handle things? I'm in [mention department vaguely, e.g., 'corporate services'] and we've had a few departures, but no replacements. Feels like a slow bleed. Just trying to get a pulse check from others. Totally get what you mean. The silence is definitely noticeable, especially if you're used to the usual ebb and flow of company news and rumors. I'm trying to focus on my current projects and not get too caught up in the 'what ifs,' but it's hard not to feel a little uneasy when things are this still.
