Loews: Anyone else seeing hiring freeze or slowdowns?

Hey all, been at Loews for a few years now and things feel a bit... stagnant lately. My department hasn't had new hires approved in months, and even internal transfers seem to be on hold. I've also noticed a general slowdown in project approvals, like everything needs an extra layer of sign-off. It's not panic stations yet, and there haven't been any official announcements or anything, but the vibe is definitely different than it was even six months ago. Just wondering if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a particularly quiet corner. Anyone else in other Loews subsidiaries experiencing something similar? Are budgets tighter than usual? Curious to hear what others are seeing.

I'm seeing the same thing in my region. It's definitely noticeable, and not just in my specific department. Seems like there's a general tightening of the purse strings across the board. Projects that would have been rubber-stamped a year ago are now undergoing intense scrutiny. It's creating a bit of frustration, to be honest, as it slows down progress on initiatives we all believe in. Hoping it's a temporary phase.
