Loews: Morale seems low across departments. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, throwing this out there because I've been feeling it too, and seeing it echoed in conversations with colleagues from different divisions. It feels like there's a general sense of unease or just... lower morale than usual. Performance reviews were tough for a lot of people I know, and that was before this hiring slowdown everyone's talking about. Just wondering if others are picking up on this vibe. Is it just the general economic climate affecting everything, or is there something specific brewing at Loews? Not looking for concrete layoff news, just genuine observations and maybe some commiseration or different perspectives. Anyone else feeling this dip in spirits or energy around the company?

Definitely feeling the same way. The recent performance review cycle felt particularly harsh, and it seems like the uncertainty around hiring is adding to the general anxiety. Yeah, I've noticed a dip too. Seems like a lot of people are just trying to keep their heads down. The economic headwinds are probably playing a role, but there also feels like a disconnect between what's being communicated and what people are experiencing on the ground. Hoping things improve soon.
