Is anyone else getting grilled on productivity metrics?

Seriously, the push on getting customers signed up for the credit card, pushing protection plans, and hitting daily sales goals is insane right now. It feels like if you're not hitting your numbers perfectly every single day, you're on thin ice. Management is constantly talking about 'accountability' and 'performance reviews.' It's making work really stressful, and honestly, it's starting to feel like a setup. I know retail is always a numbers game, but this feels different, more intense. Makes you wonder if they're building a case for something. Anyone else experiencing this kind of pressure cooker environment? Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide thing or just my location. Hoping it's just a tough quarter, but the talk about 'streamlining' is making me nervous.

Yeah, it's definitely a pressure cooker in here lately. Feels like every interaction is scrutinized, and the focus is so heavily on those add-on sales and credit sign-ups. I'm constantly feeling the need to upsell or push something, even when it doesn't feel right for the customer or the situation. It makes genuine customer service a real challenge, and frankly, it's draining. Hoping things ease up, but I'm not holding my breath.

Totally get what you're saying. The metrics have been dialed up to eleven. It's like they expect us to be miracle workers every single shift. I've seen a lot of good people stressed out and considering their options because of this constant pressure. It's a shame because when the focus isn't solely on the numbers, this place can be pretty decent to work at. This current environment, however, is just not sustainable for long-term morale.
