Lowe's - Feeling the uncertainty, anyone else?

Been hearing whispers and seeing some chatter online, like that article about layoffs. Management's been super cagey here, just 'business as usual' but the vibe feels off. Hours seem to be getting tighter, and some departments feel seriously understaffed. Anyone else in a similar boat at Lowe's? Trying to get a sense if this is a wider thing or just my store/region. Feels like something's brewing, and it's making it hard to plan, you know? Just want to know if I should be polishing the resume or if this is just typical retail flux. Anyone have any inside info or seen anything concrete that isn't just speculation?

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. My store's been cutting back on hours across the board, and they just stopped filling a couple of open positions. Management keeps saying everything's fine, but you can tell they're stressed. We're constantly short-handed, especially in lumber and garden, and customers are starting to notice. It's making me nervous about the holidays. Feels like a real possibility that things are going to get tighter before they get better.
