Seeing a lot more people wearing their 'customer service' faces, but they look miserable

Just an observation from my end. It feels like everyone, including management, is putting on a big show of being super positive and focused on customer service, but behind the smiles, you can see the exhaustion and stress. We've had a few retirements and people leaving voluntarily, but no mass exodus or anything officially announced. Still, the vibe is definitely different. It's like everyone's walking on eggshells, waiting for something to happen. Anyone else picking up on this? Is it possible they're cutting back on hours or something similar without making it official yet? Hard to tell if it's just burnout or if there's something more brewing under the surface. Curious to hear if others feel this way.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. It's like there's this forced cheerfulness that feels really transparent. You can tell people are trying, but the underlying pressure is obvious. It makes shopping a little awkward when you can practically feel the internal sighs.

I think it's the seasonal hiring kicking in. They probably bring in a ton of new folks who are still learning the ropes and trying to impress, while the veterans are just trying to get through the day. It can create a weird dynamic where everyone's trying too hard.
