Has anyone else noticed a significant slowdown in hiring across the board? I know a few teams that have had open reqs for months with no movement, and it feels like approval processes have become way more stringent, if they're happening at all. On the flip side, I've seen some very niche roles still being posted, almost like they're filling very specific needs rather than broad expansion. Just wondering if this is a general trend or if my department is just an anomaly. Trying to figure out if this is a sign of a tighter budget or just a strategic shift in talent acquisition. Feels like a weird time to be looking to bring new people in, or for people looking to move internally.

Yeah, the hiring landscape feels different. My team also has a few long-standing requisitions that have gone completely silent. It’s less about broad growth and more about filling very specific, almost critical, gaps. Makes you wonder about the overall strategy and where resources are being prioritized.
