Is the corporate culture finally hitting a breaking point?

It feels like the brand image is being stretched too thin lately. We’re being told to pivot toward all these new tech-heavy initiatives, yet the actual workforce is getting gutted behind the scenes. How are we supposed to maintain the 'premium' experience when the people actually executing the vision are getting walked out the door every other month? It’s starting to feel like the people at the top are detached from reality. We’re losing institutional knowledge at a rate that isn't sustainable, regardless of what the latest internal memo says about 'efficiency.' I’m curious if anyone else feels like the ship is steering toward an iceberg while management talks about how great the view is. Is anyone actually looking for an exit strategy, or are we all just waiting for the next round of cuts?

The pivot toward tech-heavy initiatives is a textbook example of leadership losing the plot. You can't scale a brand based on a 'premium' human experience if the staff responsible for delivering that quality are treated as expendable overhead. When institutional knowledge walks out the door, the product loses its soul. Eventually, the customers will notice that the polished facade no longer matches the hollow reality of the operations. It sounds like they are trading long-term brand equity for short-term balance sheet optics.

I’ve been watching this from the outside, and it honestly feels like the brand has hit its peak and is now coasting on reputation alone. It’s frustrating to see companies prioritize buzzwords and digital pivots while ignoring the foundation that made them successful in the first place. If they keep burning through their best people to chase these tech trends, the 'premium' label is going to ring hollow pretty quickly. A brand is only as good as the team behind it, and right now, the direction seems completely disconnected from the actual value being created.
