Lumen - Anyone else feeling the unease?

Hey everyone, been with Lumen for a while now and lately, the vibe feels...off. There haven't been any official announcements or anything concrete, but I'm hearing whispers and seeing some weird patterns. A lot of project consolidations, some teams are suddenly 'streamlined,' and hiring freezes in certain departments. It's making me nervous, especially with how things have been in the broader telecom industry. Anyone else noticing similar things or have any insights? Trying to gauge if this is just my specific area or a company-wide undercurrent. It's hard to plan for the future when you're constantly looking over your shoulder. Just want to know if I'm overreacting or if others are feeling this too. Thinking about updating the resume just in case, but hoping it doesn't come to that.

Yeah, I've picked up on some of that too. The 'streamlining' sounds like a euphemism for layoffs waiting to happen. It's definitely a concerning trend, and the lack of transparency from management isn't helping matters. Feels like they're bracing for impact but won't tell us what's coming. Keeping my resume updated just in case.

I'm with you. The whole 'project consolidation' thing feels like a way to cut costs without directly admitting it. It's creating a lot of uncertainty, and honestly, the buzz around the office is pretty tense. I've heard similar things about hiring freezes in specific areas, which is never a good sign for company health. Hoping it's just a temporary lull, but it's hard not to worry.
