Lumen: Anyone else feeling the pressure in their department?

Hey all, been with Lumen for a few years now and lately, things have felt... off. Not sure if it's just my team or if others are experiencing this too. There's been a lot of talk about 'efficiency' and 'synergy' but it seems to be translating into more work for fewer people. My manager is tight-lipped, which is never a good sign. We've had a few key people leave in the last couple of months, and they haven't been replaced. Budget freezes are also in full effect for pretty much everything except essential operational costs. Just wondering if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm in a specific area that's being targeted. Anyone else seeing similar trends? Trying to gauge the general sentiment and see if there's any unofficial word on the street about what's really going on behind the scenes. Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, the 'efficiency' push definitely feels like it's hitting hard across the board. It's like they want us to do more with less, and when key people walk out the door and aren't backfilled, that pressure cooker just gets turned up even higher. My team's been feeling it too, and the lack of clear communication from leadership about the 'why' behind these changes is really unsettling. Makes you wonder what the long-term plan actually is.

Absolutely. The 'synergy' and 'efficiency' buzzwords are starting to feel like a smokescreen for something else. My department has seen a significant uptick in workload without any corresponding increase in resources or headcount. The silence from management on how we're supposed to handle this, especially with the budget freezes, is deafening. It's creating a lot of anxiety and burnout among the remaining staff.
