Severance Package Question - What to expect?

Hypothetically speaking, if Lumen *were* to announce layoffs (again!), what kind of severance package are we looking at? I've heard different things from different people. Some say it's one week per year of service, others say it's two. Is there a standard policy, or does it depend on your role and level? I'm just trying to be prepared, you know? Knowing what to expect financially would definitely help ease the anxiety if the worst happens. If anyone has been through a layoff with Lumen before and can shed some light, it would be greatly appreciated.

From my experience a few years back (pre-Quantum Fiber), it was generally one week per year of service, *plus* any accrued vacation time paid out. There might have been a small bonus on top of that, but don't bank on it. The role definitely matters; execs got way more. Start updating your resume now and quietly network. Best defense is a good offense, regardless of the severance.

Honestly, don't get your hopes up too high. While they *might* offer something decent, Lumen has a history of cutting costs wherever possible. I heard the 'two weeks per year' rumor too, but I'm skeptical. Best to assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised. Focus on building your emergency fund and exploring other opportunities now. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
